Redmi, a subsidiary of Xiaomi, today announced the new Redmi Airdots S. These are the sequel to its True Wireless headsets geared towards the budget market, where Xiaomi is an expert. The new AirDots S bring some changes and aspects where they remain the same.

As of now, its launch price is the same as the previous version. The Redmi AirDots S will be sold for 99 yuan or about 12 euros. For now, these headsets will be sold in China, but it is very likely that we will see them in the international market, just like the other headsets of the brand.
Regarding its appearance, the design remains the same as in previous versions, with Redmi making no changes in the visual field. No new colors were presented, the earphones will be sold only in black.
Xiaomi Redmi AirDots S received internal improvements
The improvements implemented are within. Starting with a Bluetooth 5.0 chip, which, according to Redmi, considerably improves the pairing of the earphones with the desired equipment.
The previous version used the “master and slave” connection, where only the right headset connects to the cell phone. Then, the left headset connects to the right, thus pairing with the device. Unfortunately, this system can cause connection problems or difficulties in pairing.

Redmi guarantees that these problems have disappeared with this new connection. Both headsets of the Redmi AirDots S connect to the mobile phone and it is even possible to use only one singularly, for calls.
Additionally, we have 7.2mm drivers and a noise reduction system for calls. The Redmi AirDots S are also compatible with any intelligent voice assistant such as Google Assistant or Siri, with two taps on one of the headsets.
