Ubisoft ponders digital event after E3 2020 cancellation

Given the recent cancellation of E3 2020 due to the Coronavirus, Ubisoft is already looking for alternative solutions. The company published on Twitter, stating that it is considering making a digital presentation of its next news.

Thus, Ubisoft announced that it respects and agrees with the decision of ESA (entity responsible for E3) when canceling the event. Like so many other companies including mobile phone manufacturers, a digital presentation seems to be the only viable option for presenting the news.

In any case, events like E3 are always broadcast on the internet. During the past year, there was digital coverage on YouTube and Twitch of the various events of different game distributors such as Blizzard, Electronic Arts and also Ubisoft.

Ubisoft has several new features to present in 2020

The year 2020 reserves several presentations for Ubisoft. One is from the game Rainbow Six Quarantine (ironic name, given the situation), Watch Dogs Legion and also a sequel to the game Beyond Good and Evil 2.

Additionally, we have the possible announcement of the expected next Assassin’s Creed game. According to leaks, this game will take place in a scenario of Nordic mythology. Fans of the saga have speculated that the game will be titled Assassin’s Creed: Ragnarok.

Information about the Splinter Cell franchise was also expected this year. However, Splinter Cell CEO Yves Guillemot recently stated that the company is waiting for the right time to revitalize the saga. Splinter Cell is a very popular franchise in the action and stealth genre.
