The famous TikTok app was banned in India for a week. Meanwhile, the country’s courts have gone back on the ruling, but there’s a catch: the app is not yet on the Google Play Store or the App Store.
The Indian court has decided to re-allow the app on condition that sexually explicit content is not shared on the platform. The government of India fears that the app will encourage young people to share inappropriate content.

It all started a week ago when Google and Apple were asked to remove TikTok from their stores in India. However, users who already had the app could continue to use it.
TikTok responded to this news by thanking India for good judgment. The platform is pure and simple to share creativity and nothing else, a spokesman said.
Why is TikTok so controversial?
TikTok is basically an app where users can create short videos and enter songs. This results in a wave of short, funny videos where they are basically parodies.
It’s an Vine-like app, popular a few years ago. The growing concern is that the app is quite popular with children and teenagers.

Like everything in life, we have to have common sense, especially when it comes to technology. The app does not have any problem and is simply a social network of creative videos.
It is up to parents to play an active role in their children’s social lives and control what they post on social networks. This responsibility should not be the responsibility of governments or entities, only the parents.
It should be a matter of time before the app is re-established in the Google Play Store and the Indian App Store. As it is recent, Google and Apple should not have had time to act.
