The long-awaited update to the Mac Pro has finally come. Today, at WWDC, Apple introduced the world to its new supercomputer. A super powerful computer with a renewed design that enhances its modularity. The idea is that the user has 360º access to the new Mac Pro.

The specifications of the new Mac Pro

Both processing power needs cooling
The new Mac Pro is powered by a 1.4kW power supply. Energy is very much needed to sustain a set of hardware as powerful as the one you can see above.

For everything to run at the best possible temperature, Apple included a 300W dual cooling system. In this way, the American company says that the new Mac Pro will always run to its full capacity.
New Mac Pro to hit the market with prices starting at $ 5,999
As you might have guessed, this new Mac Pro will not be for all wallets. In fact, the new Apple computer will hit the stores in the fall starting at $ 5,999, however, we do not yet have information of its official value to Portugal.
For the mentioned price, you will have access to an incoming version of the new Mac Pro, equipped with the following hardware:
- 8-core Intel Xeon processor
- 32GB of RAM
- 256GB of SSD storage
- Radeon Pro 580X Graphics
Apple introduced a new monitor with 6K resolution
The perfect companion to the new Mac Pro was also featured at today’s event. It’s called Pro Display XDR and this is a screen designed especially for imaging professionals.
The new Pro Display XDR features a 32-inch Retina LCD screen with a 6K resolution of 6016 x 3384 pixels. It is 40% larger than the iMac 5K screen and has an anti-reflective layer.

In terms of brightness, this new super monitor can run constantly at an incredible 1,000 nits. If that is not enough for your needs, its brightness can be increased up to 1,600 nits. The selling price of Pro Display XDR is $ 4,999.
This can even be attached to a new stand , which will have to be purchased separately for $ 999. With this you can turn the new XDR Pro Display to a vertical position.
Both the XDR Pro Display and the stand can be ordered from the fall of this year.
