Tesla Roadster: The Supercar Will Arrive Soon

In 2017, Tesla unveiled its first “supercar”, the Tesla Roadster. This is a sports car that features a design capable of winning over anyone, and specifications that will leave any rival in the right direction. However, since that time little or nothing has been heard about a specific release date, it has only been revealed that it would arrive in 2020.

The Roadster was presented as a surprise to all fans of the brand, during the official presentation event of the Tesla Semi, the manufacturer’s first truck. This electric truck had its launch postponed until the end of 2020, and although information about the Tesla Roadster was not revealed, Elon Musk revealed last year that it would not be a priority.

Now, after being questioned by a Twitter user, Elon Musk confirmed that they could reveal some more details about the launch of the Tesla Roadster by the end of the year. Considering the current situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, it would not be surprising if the new car also ended up being postponed until at least next year.

Tesla Roadster will be a “monster” on the roads, but it will not be available to anyone

During his official presentation in 2017, Elon Musk revealed several details about the specifications of the new sports car, leaving all fans “jaw-dropping”.

  • Acceleration from 0-100 km / h – 1,968 seconds
  • Acceleration from 0 – 160 km / h – 4.2 seconds
  • Maximum speed – above 400 km / h
  • Wheel torque – 10,000 Nm
  • Autonomy – almost 1,000 km
  • Number of passengers – 4
  • Drive Type – All-Wheel Drive
  • Base price – 185,000 euros

Some of the values presented by Tesla’s CEO are completely surreal for a car designed to drive on public roads. A maximum speed of 400 km / h is at the level of Formula 1 cars, and it is certainly not advisable to go even close to these values on any motorway.

In addition to its unbelievable acceleration and top speed, the Tesla Roadster also promises a range that is hard to believe. During his presentation, Elon Musk said that this car could offer a range of up to 1,000 km, vaporizing the current offer of Tesla electric cars.

Considering that this value may actually be possible to achieve, we are guaranteed to have to drastically reduce the performance level of the car.
