Sony has yet to announce official prices for the PlayStation 5 or whether there will be more versions (like the Slim ones). However, retailers in Denmark and Canada may have revealed retail prices for the next generation console.
As NotebookCheck advances, a Danish retailer has already listed the 1 TB PlayStation 5 on its website for pre-ordering the console. The page includes a value of € 935 and a launch date: December 1, 2020. We must, however, interpret this information with caution, as it has already been confirmed that the PS5 will have an 825 GB SSD.
In addition, almost 1000 euros for the new console is a pretty absurd tag. The launch prices of PlayStation have always been around 500 euros, and nothing justifies such a big price increase.
Canadian retailer listed most realistic price
In Canada, retailer Play N Trade listed the PlayStation 5 with a value of 559 Canadian dollars, which is equivalent to 358 euros. It is obvious that PlayStation 5 will not reach Portugal at 358 euros but a retail price of around 500 euros is much more realistic.
In any case, we have to consider that these pages can only be “placeholders”, that is, pages reserved for the product ahead of time. We will only know the real value of the console when an official announcement from Sony or a major leak.
