Instagram is preparing to offer you more privacy in Stories

instagram stories

Hiding Instagram Stories from certain users is nothing new. It is something that you can already do, but you will have to do it using the Settings of the social network.

Soon, Instagram is getting ready to improve this functionality. This is because it will give you the possibility to hide specific Stories from certain users that you decide to select when you publish them.

The functionality was discovered by engineer Jane Manchun Wong, who in the past already revealed several social media features before they were released to the public.

“Instagram is testing the possibility of hiding specific stories from specific people. Good for occasional situations ”, can be read in the engineer’s publication on Twitter.

This feature has everything to be comfortable in those scenarios where you don’t want someone to see you in certain conditions in your Stories. You no longer need to deactivate the feature fully and hide the content only as many times as you like and from people you want.

Functionality is still in the public testing phase

For now, this is a feature that is in public testing. This means that it will gradually reach more users. However, for now, there is no official data on when it will be available to all users.
