As always, the Chinese social network Weibo is where information about the latest equipment from manufacturers is often shared. Such is the case with the new 10.4-inch Huawei MatePad, which was “caught” on a promotional poster.
This image suggests that Huawei will launch another tablet on the market, in the MatePad range. The company recently announced MatePad Pro, complete with high-end hardware, keyboard and stylus. This will be an attempt to rival Apple’s iPad Pro. In this way, this 10.4 inch MatePad can be a bet against the base version of the 10.2 inch iPad.

Expected specifications of the Huawei MatePad 10.4 inch
- 10.4 inch display with 2K resolution (2560 x 1080)
- Kirin 810 processor
- 6 GB of RAM
- 128 GB of internal storage
- 8MP front camera
- 7250 mAh battery
It is also possible to distinguish a rear camera module with double or triple lens. However, the most notable feature is its screen, which seems to reduce the frames as much as possible. In fact, the tablet does not even appear to have a front camera, as it is not possible to see any holes in its screen, by the image.
According to the promotional image, this tablet will also come equipped or support a touch pen, for drawing and notes. If released outside of China, the tablet will come equipped with Huawei Mobile Services instead of GMS.
Samsung and Huawei are trying to revitalize the Android tablet market
Truth be told, the market for tablets does not bring numbers as large as that of mobile phones. However, in recent months, this segment has been revitalized due to the bets of Samsung and Huawei, in fighting Apple. The Tab S6 tablet is considered one of the best Android tablets on the market.
Huawei also continues to focus on tablets, as is the case with MatePad Pro and the future MatePad 10.4 mentioned here. In this way, we can assume that the Android tablet market is not completely stagnant.
