“Google Phone” Application May be About to Reach Your Smartphone

If you are one of those who would prefer to have the “Google Phone” application on your device instead of the application of the manufacturer of your smartphone, it is possible that things are on the right track.

The folks at XDA Developers recently discovered that new updates (mainly Public Beta) are possible to install on more smartphones than previously.

“Google phone” application is already on more smartphones

Right now only a few devices are able to install this application. Apart from Google smartphones or Android One, there are few who can install it.

However, according to the latest information, the latest version of the application already works with smartphones such as ASUS ZenFone 6, OPPO Find X2 Pro or even the LG V60.

These were just some of the smartphones tested by the XDA team that managed to install the application. On this side, I tried on the OnePlus 6T, Huawei Mate 20 Pro and P30 Pro but without success.

What’s different about this application

Honestly it doesn’t have much. “Google Phone” is a simple application with a ” dial” to enter phone numbers. However, things will be different in the future.

Note that you also have the possibility to record calls without third party apps. In addition, past information stated that Google is about to implement the “turn to reject call” feature that can only be seen on some Google Pixel smartphones. That is, if you receive a call and do not want to answer, just turn the smartphone with the screen to a table and the call is automatically rejected.

There are also those who prefer to have this application to have a User Interface on the smartphone more uniform. This is because many users use the “Google contacts” application in order to never lose their contacts. The “Google Phone” application has direct integration with the contacts application.

In short, we will have to wait and see. For now only a few smartphones work. You can try to install it on yours. To do this, jump on APK Mirror and try to install the latest version of Public Beta via APK on your smartphone.
