The Android 10 update for the Galaxy A70 was launched by Samsung a few days ago, through One UI 2.0. Although it is not yet available to everyone, some users in certain markets are already receiving it. Unfortunately, there are reports that the update is “bricking” mobile phones.
This is a term used when a mobile phone is completely unusable, such as a brick = brick. The situation is such that for now, Samsung has suspended sending updates to One UI 2.0, until it can resolve the situation.

However, it will not be easy to resolve. According to SamMobile, what is causing the malfunction in mobile phones is a hardware issue. Affected users should go to the nearest Samsung customer support center. However, due to quarantine, it is currently impossible.
So, if you receive a notification on your Galaxy A70 to update, don’t do it. It is best to wait for Samsung to resolve the situation through a corrected update or another type of solution.
Samsung Galaxy A31 was affected by the April update
Most manufacturers usually send monthly internal updates, called “security patches”. In the case of the Galaxy A31 entry-level equipment, the April update is breaking the equipment down.
Several users of the Galaxy M31 expressed their dissatisfaction on Twitter and through the Samsung Members app, aimed at that kind of feedback. The Galaxy M31 is a device that was not officially launched in Portugal, so Portuguese users need not worry.
