PlayStation 5: Revealed more details on the new console of Sony

Sony will not be attending this year’s E3 edition, but that does not stop us from learning more about its new console. The PlayStation CEO revealed in an interview with CNET new details about PlayStation 5.

Support for saves of previous consoles is one of the main novelties

Perhaps the most interesting of the news revealed by Jim Ryan is the possibility of continuing the progress of a game, even if it has been conquered in a different version of the console. In a simple way, you can pick up a savefrom your PlayStation 4 and continue it on the new PlayStation 5.

If so, you can still pick up this game and take it back to your PlayStation 4. In other words, the hardware limit seems to be more and more a thing of the past with the next Sony console.

This is one of the possibilities of the upcoming PlayStation 5 that surely more curiosity will arouse among the players. The CEO of PlayStation did not give more details about the operation of this novelty. Compatibility of the PS5 with games from previous generations of the PlayStation Now console or service may be reasons for this functionality.

Graphics from 4K to 120Hz is another new thing for PlayStation 5

Still in the same interview with CNET, the CEO of PlayStation gives us more details about the graphic power of the new console. According to him, the PlayStation 5 will support 4K graphics with a refresh rate of 120Hz.

This refresh rate is superior to many of the televisions that exist in the market. Therefore, the next console from Sony is expected to deliver a viewing experience like never before seen in its portfolio.

SSD drives will also boost better performance of the Sony console

Another new feature is the presence of SSDs on the PlayStation 5. Replacing the usual HDD discs, the next Sony console will perform better.

Higher read and write speeds are guaranteed with SSD drives. In this way, it is guaranteed that the new console will execute more quickly many of its daily actions.

When will the PlayStation 5 be released?

In fact, we do not have official information yet for the presentation of this console. Sony has revealed some details of PlayStation 5 to fans, but its presentation remains an unknown.

Still, rumors tell us that the new console from Sony may be presented later this year. November 2020 is the date advanced by analyst Hideki Yasuda.
